The media formats DigiteckMedia works with are VHS, VHS-C, 8mm, Hi8 , Digital 8, Mini DV, Film, 35mm slides & negatives along with prints and digital images. Once we recieve your analogue tapes they are inspected for any damage then run through our VHS machine to view the video quality. If any tapes are sub par we will notify you of this.
After the tape(s) have been tested and are satisfactory they are transferred to an NLE computer work station in full 720 x 480 resolution and in an uncompressed windows avi format thus retaining the best picture and colour from your source. The next step is to render your video to MPEG2 DVD format using an mpeg encoder.
During the transfer process filters are applied if necessary such as noise reduction, sharpening if required, exposure corrections, colour correction and cropping. Once finalized we create a menu of your choice and author the DVD in DVD-R format. Upon completion of the conversion the media is tested to verify quality playback. Standard Media enclosures such as HD Poly CD Sleeves, Blue Slimline jewel cases & DVD-R cases are used for shipment and are included in the conversion and duplication cost.
Video Quality
In most cases the final product looks considerably better than the source though in cases where the tape is quite deteriorated the output quality may suffer. Full resolution is kept during the encoding process to preserve the video content clarity offering the best reproduction quality of your original.
